About Audrey Green.

Growing up Filipino-American in the Bay Area, it was easy for me to explore the contrasting and various ideals of each side of my family. I was exposed to so much that it was sometimes hard to determine where my identity fell on this ethnic spectrum. Connecting with Filipino culture within the Bay Area urged me to create a middle ground for myself, not as an American nor as a Filipino, but both. I became eager to learn about news and social issues that affected people like me. In turn, I also became passionate about the exploration of self. I soon discovered a sense of unity and belonging within this community that I have carried with me to many other aspects of my life. I started this website to feed my love for investigative writing, and to inspire myself to learn more about the history of the Philippines, current events, and myself. While I also strive to develop and authenticate my voice as a Filipino-American woman.
